I write with a partner and often we have had to move on from one project before we felt ready to emotionally. To me, if I can still be in love with our characters after working with them for months it seems that the reader will love them too!

I loved the Reluctant Debutante and look forward to reading your second baby!Stephanie Jones AKA Alicia Hunter Pacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03023631488715031414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7850834701427655460.post-79301418231185514792012-11-25T12:13:57.376-05:002012-11-25T12:13:57.376-05:00Becky,
You are pretty much my second blog, ever. M...Becky,
You are pretty much my second blog, ever. My first consisted of about ten words. I know what you mean about your first book being your baby. I wrote my time travel, rewrote it, and changed it into a Young Adult book. Changed it back and thought about making the main character into a vampire. Lately, I've been playing around with the idea of making it first person. I think it's because I'm attached to my characters and it's my fantasy. The heroine is me and I'm living vicariously through my words. It’s hard to leave behind something that is so much a part of me, but I’ve kicked myself in the butt and have put my time travel to the side because I need to become someone else and create more adventures.
Vicki
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7850834701427655460.post-49870973538839448832012-11-25T08:28:18.248-05:002012-11-25T08:28:18.248-05:00Hi Becky. My second book (a christmas novella) was released one week after my first book came out. Talk about shoving one child aside for another! Since then I seem to duplicate that process. Right now I have three books that came out within two months. Grrr. Got to work on better timing, lol. Best of luck with your books.Calliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08109239327871560240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7850834701427655460.post-33032813297920060882012-11-25T08:27:21.198-05:002012-11-25T08:27:21.198-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Calliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08109239327871560240noreply@blogger.com
